There are way different of mounting on windows 7, on windows 7 you have to install a third-party tool to mount for example Power ISO software to mount an iso file. But on windows 8, 10, and 11 there is a build-in way option to mount ISO DISC images files.

Mounting on windows 7, 8.1, 10, & win11
In windows 7 we need a third-party tool to mount in this article we will be using power iso. A simple way to mount an image file,
Steps
Step1: install PowerISO software. DOWNLOAD
Step2: locate your iso file on file explorer
Step3: right-click on your iso file
Step4: you will get the option of PowerISO.
Step5: PowerISO will extend and click on your Mount Image to your drive media. As shown in the below picture.

Mounting an ISO Image in Windows 8, 10, and Windows 11
In this latest operating system, it has a built-in function to mount both iso disc images.
Steps:
Step1: Locate your iso file on file explorer
Step2: right-click on your iso file.
Step3: you will get the option of the mount as shown below.
Step4: click on the mount to get started mounting your iso image.

Note: once you have mounted the disc image, you will see the new driver. When you are done click on unmount ISO file.
