In this article, I will show you a simple and easy way of inserting and .iso file on your DVD, in this article I will cover windows and macOS to insert a disc ISO, so let’s get started.
Note: remember that copying files to a cd from an iso file will not work, the reason is that the cd will need a boot record and other hidden startup files.
In the case of windows 8/8.1 and 10
Steps
Step1: Download the ISO file that you want to burn on
your DVD, in my case, I am using a 4.7GB DVD and I will install the tail OS on my DVD.
Step2: first locate your folder where you have an iso
file.
Step3: make sure that you insert a DVD inside your computer
Step4: right-click on your iso file.
Step5: after right-click, you will see an option to burn the disc image, just click on the Burn disc image option.
Step6: Now you will see and interface of Windows Disc
image Burner and will see the detail that you had selected for your disc image
file.
Step7: Select your disc burner, DVD
Step8: click on the Burn option to get started.
In the case of windows 7/visa
Steps:
Note: the process is the same as windows 8/8.1 and 10 just will
get a different interface, to choose from.
In macOS
Steps:
Step1: Download the ISO file that you want to burn on
your DVD, in my case, I am using a 4.7GB DVD and I will install the tail OS on my DVD.
Step2: first locate your folder where you have an iso
file.
Step3: make sure that you insert a DVD inside your computer
Step4: click on utilities from desktop
Step5: click and launch Disk Utility.
Step6: chose Open Disk Image.
Step7: you will see a burn icon just click on
it.
Step8: a window of Select Image to Burn will appear
from there select the .iso file that you can burn.
Step9: click on the Burn option to get started.
Step10: the disk utility window will pop up and will
show you the process that is written on DVD.
